Source: Fair Work Commission, Electrical, Electronic and Communications Contracting Award 2020 (MA000025), clause 16.4 as consolidated to 1 July 2026, from 1 July 2026 (Award apprentice rates). Minimum pay rates from first year to final year; many employers pay above them. Figures are annual, in AUD. We switch to live job-ad figures once we have five or more apprentices & trainees ads with pay.
Indicative rates in AUD under the Electrical, Electronic and Communications Contracting Award 2020 (MA000025). Junior rates depend on age and year; adult apprentices start higher. Award rates change annually — confirm current figures via the Fair Work Ombudsman pay guide. Allowances, overtime and site/EBA agreements can increase actual take-home pay.
